Masculine Monkey

Where has this week gone?  I feel like I've been in a haze all week long.  Let's see, Monday was a cooking day... I ended up making dinner for the inlaws and my parents.  If you know me in person, you know I don't cook.  So that was a big deal for me.  Tuesday was spent all day in anticipation of the Retirement List and Sneak Peek of the new catalog coming out in July.  Wednesday was spent as a zombie, since I stayed up very very late chatting online with other demos and putting in my order so I can get my hands on the new catalog.  BTW, it's coming here tomorrow!  I can't wait!  All of a sudden, we're at Thursday, today, and I have not done any stamping all week!

With the release of the retirement lists, I have some stamps that have not even seen ink yet that are being retired.  So this month, I am going to use as many of those as possible!  Here's the first stamp in my stash that will be retired.  I have two golfers in my life, so there's no way I will get rid of this stamp, On the Green.  It's super easy to use and very masculine.

This card is based on This week's Monkey challenge: Man card + Sketch:

I inked up the whole stamp with Soft Suede.  Then took my Blender Pen and "erased" the ink on the golfer.  Then I used my Stampin' Write marker to color in the golfer.  A huff on the stamp to remoisten the stamp and it's all done.  I've said this before, I find Elegant Soiree to be fabulous for masculine cards. It's my go-to for any man card needs.

My Supplies List (all supplies and images by Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted):
Stamp Set(s): On the Green
Ink: Soft Suede, Not Quite Navy
Papers:  Not Quite Navy, Baja Breeze, Elegant Soiree DSP
Accessories: Petal Cone Die (for the flag), Soft Suede Polka Dot ribbon (retired), Circle Brad (retired), Blender Pen, Stampin' Write Marker

I love this card, Annie. The colors are great and I agree - don't get rid of the stamp. It is easy to use!

Thanks for playing,

sorry about having to leave my comment Anonymous, but I am still having problems with my Google sign in. But if you change your comments to a Pop Up window I can leave comments that way. (not sure why that works but it does)
