Happy Mother's Day

I CASE'd this gorgeous card from Erin.  I made this card for my mom today.
I used a retired Pretty in Pink Epoxy Brad for the center of the daisy.  I confess, I bought this die before I joined Stampin' Up!, so this is NOT the Daisy #2 die you see in the SU catalog.  Sorry... I really wished it was.  The sentiments are from Well Scripted (retired).

My Supplies List (all supplies and images by Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted):
Stamp Set(s): Well Scripted (retired)
Ink: Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight
Papers:  Bashful Blue, Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Beyond the Garden DSP
Accessories: Eyelet Border Punch, Daisy die for Big Shot (non-SU), Pretty in Pink Epoxy Brad (retired)

Wedding Card!

Happy Monday!  I decided to not continue in my somber mood for this fine Monday.  Today, I have a wedding card to share.  I know, I haven't done one of those in awhile.  I guess my mom hasn't been to any the last few months.  Now, though, wedding season will be once again upon us.  To start this year, one of my cousins is getting remarried.  Since we're Asians, no wedding can be complete without a bit of red.  So here it is, a red wedding card.
This was a super simple card to make.  Don't ask me where I got this shiny silver cardstock.  I have no idea.  It's just in my stash.  I've never ordered any silver cardstock from SU!, so I don't know how this compares.  Guess I should me a pack to see.  Don't you just love the Framed Tulips embossing folder?  It makes it so easy to have a nice card.  It's from the Occasions Mini catalog, which ends April 30th.  So better act fast and order it now, if you don't have it yet!

Don't think you can see this, but I did heat emboss the main image.  I didn't want to do my usual knot with the ribbon, and I sure can't tie a nice bow.  I decided to make a different kind of knot to look like I tied it around the image.

My Supplies List (all supplies and images by Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted):
Stamp Set(s): Always Elegant, Well Scripted (retired)
Ink: Real Red
Papers:  Real Red, Silver (non-SU)
Accessories: Framed Tulips embossing folder, Clear embossing powder, Versamark (to use with my Classic Ink for the embossing powder), Real Red 1 1/4" Striped Grosgrain ribbon, Scalloped Oval punch, Oval punch

Happy Birthday, Mom!

Today is my mom's birthday.  I wanted to make her something a little special.  I came across this Free Standing Pop-Up Card while perusing the Resources section of splitcoaststampers.com.
I used a retired set, Embrace Life, for the branch with flowers.  It's the only set I have (so far) that has this look.  I colored the flowers in with Stampin' Write Markers.  I didn't color all the way, or perfectly.  I wanted to have that watercolor look.  I added some Stickles to select few flowers for a little sparkle.  Click on the pics to enlarge.
I cut out some flowers from the Sending Love DSP, and added some rhinestones to the center.  I used different sizes for each flower.

My Supplies List (all supplies and images by Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted):
Stamp Set(s): Embrace Life (retired), Well Scripted (retired, but you can get the digital download version #121064)
Ink: Real Red, Chocolate Chip, Real Red Stampin' Write Marker, Pretty in Pink Stampin' Write Marker, So Saffron Stampin' Write Marker, Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Write Marker
Papers: Real Red, Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Chip, Sending Love DSP (retired)
Accessories: Basic Rhinestones, Eyelet, Pretty in Pink Stripe ribbon (retired), Stickles (non-SU)

MOJO Monday

In my efforts to create using sketch challenges, I found this week's Mojo Monday sketch quite interesting. I love that the main element is tilted.
This is the card I made. I used papers from Raspberry Lemonade DSP that I got off the SU! Clearance Rack. Guess you can't see from this angle. I popped up the birthday cake.
