Happy Monkey

For this card, I wanted to showcase the retiring Early Espresso Satin ribbon (boo-hoo, I am sooooo sad that this one is leaving).  This ribbon is seriously scrumptious.  I know Early Espresso is not a color in the Sunny Garden DSP pack.  But it's a neutral, right?  So it goes with anything, right?  I'm also going to be super super sad when Sunny Garden officially retires.  It is a great happy paper pack.  The sentiment is from the also retiring Apple Blossoms Hostess Set.

This card uses the sketch from A La Card Monkey weekly challenge.
BTW, my Vintage card, seen HERE, won honorable mention for that week's challenge.  And as a reward, I get to be on the design team for next week's challenge!  Super exciting, isn't it?!  I know!  I just 'bout fell out of my chair on that one!  Wait 'til you see the card I made.  I hope you'll like it!

Mash or Mush?

I saw this sketch the other night and wanted to try my hand at it.  It includes one of my favorite colors, Marina Mist.  However, I have never used Cajun Craze.  I finally pulled out the cardstock for the first time.  I also had to remove the shrinkwrap from the inkpad.  I must say, I LIKE this color!  OK, at this point, what do I not like from Stampin' Up!?  I swear you can throw any colors together and they will coordinate!  Anyways, here's the challenge at Friday Mashup.
I decided to ink up my Apple Blossoms Hostess Level 2 set that I've had for awhile now and never used.  Oops, bad me.  Since I also just received my Summer Mini preorder, which included the Triple Layer punch, I was itching to try it out.
I had added the butterflies only as an afterthought.  I think they give this card so much life!  If you don't have the Beautiful Wings embosslit, it really should be at the top of your wishlist!  It's an awesome deal with 5 different sized butterflies.  And of course, a bit of rhinestones to add some sparkle.

How do you think I did with this challenge?  Is it a Mashup or Mushup? :)
