Starbust Saying

I took Julie's card idea and made this card the other day.  It's sort of a clean and simple kind of card for me.  Kinda like how today is gonna be... simple.  Got a child home from school today, due to teacher's day at school.  I guess I won't be getting much stampin' done.  But not to worry, tomorrow is the start of Sale-a-Bration, and I DO have more cards to share.  So be sure to check back tomorrow for more scoop on Sale-a-Bration!

Framed Too Kind

Good morning!  Thank you all for visiting my post last Friday.  And special Thank You to Sandy B. for leaving me a comment.  Sandy B, please email me (click HERE) your address, so I can send the card to you!

I loved using Too Kind so much, I made another card!  I remembered to use my oval embossing folder after seeing a card online that used it.  Because that embossing folder is a small one, you risk getting the edges of the folder onto the cardstock.  Here's how I do mine:
Cut a piece of cardboard that is just slightly smaller than the folder, but covers the embossing area.  I put that on the back of the folder.  Here's the sandwich (I'm sorry the bottom picture didn't really translate well) bottom up:
-Platform all tabs closed
-Embossing folder with cardstock in, cardboard somewhat taped on the back of folder.
-1 (ONE) cutting pad

Roll it on through and you should get a nice clean embossed oval, without edges.  If your big shot doesn't emboss well with this sandwish, you can add a shim or two (a piece of cardstock or two).  It does depend on how tight your roller is.

Oh!  You know what?!  That Framed Tulips embossing folder is on the Weekly Deal!  Let me know if you want to order one!

Sweet Kindness

Can I just say, I am totally in love with this card?  I didn't love it when I was done, but the more I look at it, the more I love it.  I had this idea in my head while lying in bed.  After stamping the blocks (yes, I put my clear blocks on inkpads and stamped directly onto cardstock.  Isn't that cool?), I wasn't so sure my idea was going to work out.  Then I decided to be brave.  Because, afterall, it's just paper, right?  This was the very first time I've used this set.  I resisted on getting it due to it being a two-step stamping set.  I usually shy away from those, because I don't do the line-up-perfectly look very well.  Anyways, I got this set, after some customers raved over some of the convention swap cards that used this set.  So, I got brave, as I said, and inked up the flowers.  Holy goodness!  I totally, totally love this stamp set!  AND I didn't even have to be exact!

Please tell me what you think of this card by leaving me a comment below.  I will pick a random winner on Sunday night and send the card to you!  Be sure to leave me a way to contact you for your address.
