Fresh Hexagons

Good morning!  Today's card originally started by attempting to follow the sketch challenge over at Freshly Made Sketches.  However, one thing led to another, I think I have veered off the original sketch, so I guess I won't submit it.  Are you wondering what punch I used???  Rather than trying to explain it with words, I thought a pictorial would be better.  This is done with the Curly Label punch.  Nice Monday present for you, eh? :D
P.S. don't forget to stamp your sentiment before you punch it out, so you can align it better.  I had already punched my piece out before I realized I should take pictures for pictorial.  So, always remember, stamp THEN punch!
My Supplies List (all supplies and images by Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted):
Stamp Set(s): Lacy & Lovely
Ink: Basic Gray
Papers: Basic Gray, Very Vanilla, Afternoon Picnic DSP
Accessories: Hexagon punch, Honeycomb embossing folder, Curly Label punch, Candy Dots

Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop June 2013

Yay!  It's the monthly Stylin' Stampin' Squad blog hop!!!  If you just came from Diana's blog, thank you for coming by.  I have just received my big box of new catalog goodies.  I am so excited to share with you some of the stuff I started playing with.  I really wanted to make something special for you.  This is the card I came up with.
I used a ton of new stuff here.  Can you spot them all?  I cut the circles using the new Circles framelits. I used new punches, Artisan Label and Mosaic punches.  The card base uses a brand new in-color, called Coastal Cabana.  There's new in-color ribbon.  The oh, so yummy Stretch Ruffle ribbon.  Did you see a new stamp set there, called Tape It, in the middle of the circle?  Lastly, Round of Array in the corner.  Wait, one more... new In-color Boutique Detail flower in the Soda Pop.  I know, I know, the soda pop is not available anymore, but I couldn't resist!

Click on the photo below for more close-ups.
I hope you enjoyed this special project, made just for this hop.  Please continue to hop along with us and visit our newest blog hopper, Jamie!

FabFriday for Wednesday

There's a new challenge blog called, FabFriday, that some of my online demo friends are in.  I've been wanting to participate for awhile, but never got around to it.  Well, I finally jumped in and made this card for this week's challenge.

There's a few things I like about this card.  I LOVE Gingham Garden DSP.  Know what else I love?  I LOVE the new In-Color Boutique Details!  I know the color is not in the paper, but I just HAD TO use it!

My Supplies List (all supplies and images by Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted):
Stamp Set(s): Polka-Dot Pieces, A Fitting Occasion, Papillon Potpouri
Ink: Island Indigo, Melon Mambo
Papers: Melon Mambo, Pear Pizzazz, Daffodil Delight, Gingham Garden DSP
Accessories: Crochet Trim, InColor Boutique Details, Elegant Butterfly punch, 1" circle punch, 2 1/2" circle punch

You know what else is happening?  Tomorrow I am back on the wagon for the monthly Stylin' Stampin' Squad's blog hop!  Come back tomorrow and check out what we've got for you.

Sneak Peek! Birthday Circles

Did you like yesterday's sneak peek?  Here's another one for you.  This card again uses a layout sketch from clean&simple.  I flipped the sketch to fit what I want/need to do.  I used 3/4" circle punch and punched out all the patterns from the (NEW!) Gingham Garden DSP.  The sentiment is from (NEW!) Banner Greetings Hostess set.  FYI, it does not have a coordinating punch or framelit.  I cut the sentiment by hand.  I know... total sadness here.  Anyways, I used the coordinating Gingham Garden Designer Washi Tape under the sentiment, just for something playful.  I had never used Washi tape before.  And they tear like butter!  I can see lots of uses for these tape.  I think I will need to get several rolls.  Oh, the card base is a new color... Baked Brown Sugar.  Yummy!

My Supplies List (all supplies and images by Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted):
Stamp Set(s): Banner Greetings (NEW!)
Ink: Island Indigo
Papers: Baked Brown Sugar, Gingham Garden DSP
Accessories: Gingham Garden Washi tape, 3/4" circle punch
