Roses for Monkey

I'm a Guest Designer!!!!!  Can you believe that?  I can't!  The ladies at A La Card Monkey weekly challenge blog picked me as a guest designer, because of THIS RABBIT CARD that I made.  Anywho, I didn't win that challenge, but they invited me as a guest designer anyways.  How's that for consolation prize, eh?  So, this week's challenge is Flowers and Sketch.  HERE is the challenge:
Really cool, huh?  I just love this sketch!
Here's my take:
I took a piece of Beyond the Garden DSP that has very soft Daffodil Delight colors on it and ran it through the Big Shot with an embossing folder.  It's okay, it's just paper!  I sponged the raised portions.  For the focal image, I didn't actually use any stamps.  Gasp!  I hand cut these flowers from the same DSP, raised them up using Dimensionals (the Melon Mambo one has two Dimensionals to make it higher), sponged the petals with Melon Mambo.  Then I used the Two-Step Bird punch for the leaves poking out.

I decided I didn't want to use ribbons for the knots, so I used my buttons from the free Ice Cream Parlor Ribbon & Buttons Pack from Sale-a-Bration.  Do you have it?  If you do, the colors go really nicely with this DSP!

I hope you like this card as much as I do.  I really wanted to do a good job as a guest designer for the Monkey!

My Supplies List (all supplies and images by Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted):

Great Card Girl!! I like how you changed it to buttons, and added the brad for the tag!
