Workshop Project #1

I had my very first workshop this past Saturday.  Boy, was it a lot of fun!  I will be showing you the projects that we made this week.  The first one came about because I wanted to showcase the Elegant Bouquet embossing folder.
And I just used a heart punch on the Glimmer Paper.  Remember I told you it is GORGEOUS?  Well, it received a round of applause from my group!  Haha!  I think this card was inspired by Kriss.  Honestly, I don't remember who I might have CASE'd this from.  I googled and surfed the net for awhile for some easy cards to make using this Elegant Bouquet embossing folder, that I think I lost track.  If I CASE'd you or someone you know, please let me know so I can give proper credit and link back.  I "dotted" the center of the flowers by punching out the tiniest circle from the Two-Step Owl Punch.  I'm not sure if I told you, but I LOVE this punch.  Not only does it make the cutest owls, it's so versatile.  I use the heart and the different sized circles all the time.  Where else can you get the owl, 3 circle sizes and a heart punch for the low price of $16.95???  Only at Stampin' Up! baby!  You can get it through my store HERE.  I decided to NOT ask the workshop attendees deal with the tiny little circles, however.  We just colored them in using marker.

Here is another version.  Here, I used the Ornament punch turned sideways for the fish.  I don't know where I CASE'd this from, either.  I've seen these fish made with this punch quite a bit, too, so it's hard to give proper credit.  I used a Q-Tip, rubbed on the Cherry Cobbler inkpad, then colored the center of the flowers and the swirl.
I made this card before I got my Glimmer Paper.  I used Stickles, then added Crystal Effects.  I just wanted to see the effect of this vs. Glimmer Paper when I had it.  Can you see the difference???  Night and day!  That Glimmer Paper rocks! :D
