Workshop Project #3

I demo'd this card at the beginning of the workshop.  I used Framed Tulips embossing folder to show everyone how easy and quick using a Big Shot can be.  And the result was gorgeous!
Next, I showed how to ink up the stamp, I used Just Believe with this one.  Then using a Blender Pen, you can "erase" the colors; and add colors back using markers.  Also super easy and high impact.  I then rubbed the edges of the image piece with Certainly Celery, using a makeup applicator.

Finishing off the card, I used Modern Label Punch and Word Window Punch.  Gotta love these two punches.  So wonderful for layering.  There's quite a bit of sentiments that will fit in that Word Window Punch.  This one from the same Just Believe set, fits perfectly.

Last, but not least, I added Basic Pearls.  Our Basic Pearls come in a pack of 150, PLUS 3 long strands that can be cut apart.  I was at M's the other day and saw that there were packages of pearls and rhinestones, at a cost of $5.99 per 24!  Even with a trusty coupon, they were still much higher in cost than the Stampin' Up! ones.  I didn't look for all the different packages they had throughout the different sections of the store.  But still, I think the Stampin' Up! Basic Pearls and Basic Rhinestones are very cost effective.  And you get different sizes of pearls, too.

Oh, forgot to mention one more thing that was very cost effective through Stampin' Up!.  The Dimensionals!  I popped up the center panel and the punched greeting.  I love using Dimensionals.  They make such a nice 3-d effect.  Ours are 1/16" thick, which I like because it's not too high.  I found at M's, they were 1/8" thick, making it just a little high sometimes.  Also, you won't believe the cost.  Stampin' Up!'s Dimensionals come in a pack of 300, at $3.95.  Guess how much big box was?  $4.99 for a pack of 112!  Even with a coupon, it's still not worth it to get it at M's.

Friday I will show you the 3-D item we made.  We sure made some great projects, didn't we?  And it didn't take each of them very long.  See, everyone can stamp!  It's so easy and therapeutic.  Aboveall, we had SO. MUCH. FUN!!!
