Top Note Week Day #1 - Purse

I finally broke down and order the Top Note die for Big Shot.  OMG, WHY didn't anyone tell me this was a must-have???  I confess, I held out because I can cut a similar shape on my electronic cutter.  HOWEVER, it's just not the same.  The cutter doesn't do these perforated lines.  And when I size them to be layered, it's not as neat as the effect you see here.  So, that's why I finally decided to buy the die.  Wowzers, do a google search for it, and you'll see endless possibilities!  I've made a few different projects already that I will show you throughout this week.

You can put a gift card inside, or write a note, or put a small pad of post-its.  You can find the tutorial for this from Frenchie.  I am loving this DSP called Nursery Nest.  It coordinates with the Aviary stamp set that came out last year, that I am so in love with.  And I'm not even a bird person.  Anyways, love the color combos on here.  I used the new Pennant die for the big scallop circle.  Isn't it pretty???  This thing was so easy to put together.  The only slightly time consuming part is having to cut along the perforation of the Top Note, to make layering possible.

My Supplies List (all supplies and images by Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted):
Stamp Set(s): Aviary
Ink: Early Espresso, Pear Pizzazz
Papers:  Marina Mist, Early Espresso, Nursery Nest DSP
Accessories: Top Note die, Perfect Pennants die, Scallop Circle punch, Marina Mist Dotted Scallop ribbon

I love this card!! The Top Note was one of the first dies that I bought, and I've used it many times. But...I love the scalloped circle from the Pennant die!! I bought the punch and didn't figure I'd have a use for the die, but I may have to break down and buy it on my next order!! Thanks for sharing!!
