Gretchen Barron is hosting a contest where you CASE a project out of the new IB&C but just change something to make it your own.
This is what I made.
This is a CASE from the card shown on page 182 of the catalog. I liked this card because I get to use Baja Breeze, Top Note Die and the GOR-GE-OUS Mocha Morning DSP. The original uses Elements of Style, which I don't have. So I chose Just Believe. I thought this card was pretty when I saw it in the catalog. But when I was done... Well, not one to really boast much, but I LOVE MY CARD!!! How do you like that bird??? I punched it out of the super rich special paper from the Mocha Morning pack. The black has this velvety feel. Oh, it's awesome!
I also used the Color Spritzer Tool to "spit" some ink from the marker onto the Top Note piece.
I've had this Spritzer Tool FOREVER. I probably bought it when it first came out like 10+ years ago, yet I so use it so seldom. That will need to be changed. It was kinda fun!
Oh, and I don't have the First Edition DSP. So I cheated by cutting a piece of our newspaper. :)
BTW, not until I typed up the post, I realized since this card uses the Top Note die, it's also fitting for my special Top Note Die Week.
My Supplies List (all supplies and images by Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted):
Stamp Set(s): Just Believe, Hodgepodge Happiness (Retired)
Ink: Soft Suede
Papers: Baja Breeze, Mocha Morning DSP
Accessories: Top Note die, Circle punch, Beautiful Wings embosslit, Very Vanilla Seam Binding ribbon, Two-Step Bird punch, Color Spritzer Tool
