Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop August 2012

Hello and welcome to this month's installment of the Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop.  If you came from Shellie's Creative Electica blog, thank you for visiting me!  This month's theme is Holiday Catalog Favorites.  Have you seen the catalog yet?  Oh my goodness, it's so full of goodness.  And in addition, there's still lots of new and wonderful products from the new Annual Catalog that I haven't shared with you yet.  So I've included some from each.  And please, give my blogpost some love with your kind comments!
This project is inspired by Shelli's demonstration at the Stampin' Up! Convention couple of weeks ago.  Can you believe I can't find an actual downloadable picture to share with you here?  You'll just have to trust me.  It was beautiful and it was framed in a picture frame, with the glass removed.  Thus gave me the idea for my project.  Click on the image to make it bigger.
What was very cool is the new Festival of Prints DSP stack in the Holiday Catalog (my background paper).  The size is 4 1/2" x 6 1/2", which is PERFECT for card making!  And even more perfect for this frame I had sitting on my floor.  Absolutely no cutting was necessary here.  Then, it was also perfect to use the new Faceted Buttons.  Being that these buttons are quite bulky, they're not the easiest to mail. But certainly work fabulously in this project!

Do you recognize the image inside the Blossom punch?  It's one of the snowflakes from the Snowflake Soiree stamp set!  Yup, it fits the punch perfectly.  Yipee!  Love coordinating punch and stamps, don't you?

The next project is a card that I copied out of our Demonstrator monthly.
This card showcases more favorite things from the Holiday Catalog.  The stamp set is called "Perfectly Preserved" and it has a matching framelit set called, "Cannery Set."  AND if you get both, you get 15% off the bundle!  Pretty awesome, right?  The pattern paper is from the Festival of Prints pack again.  I just love using that!

I hope you liked the projects here.  Your next stop is Pam, who has some fabulously creative ways with her favorite things. :)
