Good Thoughts from a Good Friend

Here is a super simple card for the day.  I CASE'd this from a card I received from... I can't remember!!!  Argh!  Pam S., did you send me this card??  Anji??  Sorry, senile moment.  Here's the original the mysterious-she sent me.
I super love the Sweet Sorbet DSP from the Sale-a-Bration catalog.  That's why I used it on my card.  And I never thought I would love the Watercolor DSP.  But look at how nice this looks on the original!

My Supplies List (all supplies and images by Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted):
Stamp Set(s): Perfect Pennants
Ink: Crisp Cantaloupe
Papers: Pool Party, Sweet Sorbet DSP (SAB2014)
Accessories: Midnight Muse 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon

Soccer Birthday

I needed a quick card for my daughter's classmate's birthday party.  It was soccer themed.  I remembered seeing someone made a soccer ball card, so that was my inspiration.  Here's what I learned about making that ball.  Cut a large circle to the desired size of your ball in green.  I used a circle framelit.  Then I used the Hexagon punch to punch out shapes in white and black.  I started in the center with a piece of black, leaving just a slight bit for seam, and put the white pieces around.  Topped off with a set of black.  Use the same size circle framelit and cut the whole ball again.  Now you have your soccer ball.  I cut the number for age using Typeset Bigz Dies.  Sentiment was with Remember Your Birthday set.  Field mimic'd by using Square Lattice embossing folder.

Fun card for a kid, don't you think?

Thank You File

Once again, I needed to send a check to pay off my debt to someone.  I wanted to make something different, because this is for a fairly artsy person.  I decided to try my hands on the file folder cards that have been popular.

I put a bookmark inside the file folder.  This is cut with the Chalk Talk framelit.
Here is a quick pictorial to show you how I made the file folder look using our awesome Envelope Maker.

Chalk Talk for You

I CASE'd today's card from my cyber friend, Dawn.  I don't know what it is about this card, but it's sure a popular one at Card Buffet.  All my pre-cut kits were all gone at the end of the event.  I call that a success!  I used both the Chalk Talk stamp set and the coordinating framelits.  Did you know that when you get these as a bundle together, you save 15%?!  Add on a pack of paper and an inkpad, you've got yourself a $50 order, which earns you a SAB freebie!  I chose the free Sweet Sorbet DSP for this card. How perfect is that?  It's seriously easy to earn your free stuff.  Don't wait!  The Sale-a-Bration promotion ends at the end of March!
