Happy Spring Day at last!

Yay, sunshine make appearance today in my corner of the world.  Today is the last day of Sale-a-Bration.  I'm putting in one last order today.  Let me know if you want in ASAP!  Today's card is inspired by.... somebody in cyberspace.  I'm so sorry to the original creator.  I can't remember where I go this from.  Let me know if you do.  Anyways, I love this sentiment from the Yipee Skipee set.  I used the embossing folder that's FREE with qualifying order during Sale-a-Bration.  The "long banner" is made by using the Banner punch, also FREE with qualifying order during Sale-a-Bration.  You like?

ETA: Found my inspiration.  This card was inspired by Angie.

Perfect Layer

I love these almost-one-layer cards.  Today's card is inspired by THIS card.  Not much explanation needed here.  I love these colors, Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, and Pear Pizzazz.  Flowers are from Flower Shop.  Sentiment in Early Espresso.  Sentiment is from Perfect Pennants, out of the current Occasions Catalog.

Good Thoughts from a Good Friend

Here is a super simple card for the day.  I CASE'd this from a card I received from... I can't remember!!!  Argh!  Pam S., did you send me this card??  Anji??  Sorry, senile moment.  Here's the original the mysterious-she sent me.
I super love the Sweet Sorbet DSP from the Sale-a-Bration catalog.  That's why I used it on my card.  And I never thought I would love the Watercolor DSP.  But look at how nice this looks on the original!

My Supplies List (all supplies and images by Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted):
Stamp Set(s): Perfect Pennants
Ink: Crisp Cantaloupe
Papers: Pool Party, Sweet Sorbet DSP (SAB2014)
Accessories: Midnight Muse 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon

Soccer Birthday

I needed a quick card for my daughter's classmate's birthday party.  It was soccer themed.  I remembered seeing someone made a soccer ball card, so that was my inspiration.  Here's what I learned about making that ball.  Cut a large circle to the desired size of your ball in green.  I used a circle framelit.  Then I used the Hexagon punch to punch out shapes in white and black.  I started in the center with a piece of black, leaving just a slight bit for seam, and put the white pieces around.  Topped off with a set of black.  Use the same size circle framelit and cut the whole ball again.  Now you have your soccer ball.  I cut the number for age using Typeset Bigz Dies.  Sentiment was with Remember Your Birthday set.  Field mimic'd by using Square Lattice embossing folder.

Fun card for a kid, don't you think?

Thank You File

Once again, I needed to send a check to pay off my debt to someone.  I wanted to make something different, because this is for a fairly artsy person.  I decided to try my hands on the file folder cards that have been popular.

I put a bookmark inside the file folder.  This is cut with the Chalk Talk framelit.
Here is a quick pictorial to show you how I made the file folder look using our awesome Envelope Maker.
