Peaceful Ornament

I had some extra card kits left over from last year's holiday card buffet that I just found.  I decided to repurpose the cardstock.  Original card is HERE.  What do you think of the update?  The only tricky part is cutting the sentiment along with the embossed ornament framelit.  My advice is, take a piece of cardstock, emboss the whole sheet.  Cut a piece of 1" high strip of scrap to stamp your sentiment on.  Put the sentiment on top of the embossed sheet.  Then cut both pieces of cardstock together with the ornament framelit.

My Supplies List (all supplies and images by Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted):
Stamp Set(s): Greetings of the Season
Ink: Cherry Cobbler
Papers: Cherry Cobbler, Gumball Green, Season of Style DSP
Accessories: Petals-a-Plenty embossing folder, Ornament framelit, Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine

Happy Holiday Ornament

I started this card with the intention of CASE'ing Julie's card, with a slight modification of changing the circle out and putting in the ornament.  However, as I have said many times before, one thing led to another, it became evident that I just don't do the simple cards well.  I added another layer with Northern Flurries embossing folder.  I think this is the first time I've used the 1/8" Silver ribbon.  I love it.  I don't know what it is about this ribbon, but it sure ties nicely and doesn't overwhelm the card.
My Supplies List (all supplies and images by Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted):
Stamp Set(s): More Merry Messages (on Carryover List)
Ink: Island Indigo
Papers: Island Indigo, Coastal Cabana, Crumb Cake, Winter Frost DSP
Accessories:  Northern Flurries embossing folder, Holiday Ornaments framelits (on Carryover List), Silver 1/8" ribbon

Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop - October 2013

Thank you so much for joining us for the October Stylin’ Stampin’ Squad  Blog Hop! This month we are focusing on the Fall season. It’s the time of year when fireplaces start crackling with warmth and we dig out our sweaters. This month’s blog hop will showcase many of the Stampin’ Up! products that are available to make  Autumn themed creations. We hope you enjoy seeing how we use the products to create our projects and feel inspired to come up with some great projects of your own.

You should have just left stop number 10 on the Stylin’ Stampin’ Squad blog hop – Diana of Stampin' Fun with Diana. If so, you are in the right spot. If a link doesn’t work or you get off track, you will find the full blog hop lineup below.

This month's project is brought to you by using the Thankful Tablescape Simply Created Kit.  There are lots of elements included in this kit to help you make beautiful table setting for 10.  Unfortunately, I don't do a spread for Thanksgiving like some do.  However, I watched Sara Douglass' presentation at Convention in July on how she used this kit to make a flipbook of her kids.  I was excited for many reasons.  I love thinking outside the box.  I love not having to do a full scrapbook page.  These 2 pages came together in no time at all.  Best thing is that these table setting thingies fold into a pocket for you to insert the menu, for which you can journal on.  Oh, the kit also comes with a Chalk Marker that writes like butter!

Hope this inspires and puts you in the mood for autumn projects.  Next stop is Rose.

Blooming with Kindness... again :)

Good dreary Monday.  We had a very busy and glorious weekend here.  Today, the temperature managed to drop 20 degrees and the wind is quite chilling.  The leaves are quickly changing colors to such vibrant Real Reds, Tangerine Tango, and Cajun Craze!  LOL.  I guess fall is really here.

Today's card is a total CASE of Mel's card.  I only changed the Marina Mist DSP you see here.  I love all the components of this card, elegant, yet with a fun factor to it.  Don't you think?  The only thing I will warn you about this card is it has literally 7 layers.  Yes, 7!  So the card is a little heavy.  Be sure to put extra postage on it when you mail.

My Supplies List (all supplies and images by Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted):
Stamp Set(s): Blooming with Kindness
Ink: Raspberry Ripple, Early Espresso
Papers: Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso, Polka Dot Parade DSP
Accessories:  Candy Dots
