Always and Forever

Another retiring stamp set here... Always Elegant.  I love this set for wedding cards.  And I love doing wet embossing for wedding cards.  This is a CASE of Candice's card.
I used Primrose Petals, a new In-Color for 2012-2014.  Isn't this a pretty dusty rose color?  A tip for you here: do the border punching BEFORE you emboss.  This particular embossing folder embosses pretty deeply.  If you punch after, I'm afraid cardstock might get stuck in your punch.  Note, this particular border punch, Eyelet Border, is retiring.  Get yours before it's gone!

My Supplies List (all supplies and images by Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted):
Stamp Set(s): Always Elegant
Ink: Versamark
Papers: Primrose Petals (new)
Accessories: Eyelet Border punch, Elegant Lines embossing folder, Whisper White Stitched 1/4" ribbon (new), White embossing powder

Triple Triple Treats

Now that I started on a Triple Treat Flower kick, I can't get enough of this stamp!!!  Isn't the flower sooooo pretty???

The first card is inspired by THIS CARD I saw on splitcoaststampers.com.  I don't have Lace Ribbon punch that she used (it's retiring in a few days, BTW), so I improvised.  The colors here are Bravo Burgundy, Mello Moss (retired), Baja Breeze and Crumb Cake.  The DSP is Paisley Petals, which is retiring also.
This next one is inspired by THIS CARD.  I have never thought to put 2 different pieces of DSP together, but it sure works!  And they work because they are from the same DSP pack, which you know will coordinate with each other flawlessly anyways.  The DSP here is from Spice Cake DSP from the last holiday mini catalog.  Which means, it's retired already.  Sorry.  But we do have FABRIC in these patterns.  I think I have at least one pack of it itching to be used.  I will make something and show you.  Oops, tangent.  Back to the card, I decided I needed a border for the DSP pieces, so I added that.  Then I decided the main piece was too big, so I cut it down.  Then I moved things around until I got this.  The sentiment is from the retiring Sincere Salutations.  I will be really sad when this set officially retires.  It's such a wonderful set.  I love the sentiments, I love the font.  I don't find anything in the new catalog that's similar.  So if you like it, you better order it before it's permanently gone!

Colors here are: Soft Suede, Baja Breeze, More Mustard.
The last card for today is a CASE of THIS CARD.  I love the simplicity of it.  I used the retiring Chantilly Crochet Trim ribbon and Heard from the Heart set.

Remember you can still get all the retiring stamp sets through 5/31/12.

So Long, Look Who's Turning

Here's a card that I apparently never shared with you.  It uses the soon-to-retire Look Who's Turning set.
This set is great for making kid cards.  On the inside of the card, I stamped the row of numbers that's also in this set.  Highlighted the number for the child's new age.  Aren't the animals in this set so cute?  I think I might have to keep this set around for another while longer, just so I can keep playing with them.  My kids also like using this set.

Remember you can still get this stamp set through 5/31/12.

My Supplies List (all supplies and images by Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted):
Stamp Set(s): Look Who's Turning
Ink: Concord Crush, Calypso Coral, Pool Party, Lucky Limeade
Papers: Wisteria Wonder, 2010-2012 In-Color Paper Stack
Accessories: None

Fabric Friday - Snack Bag

I'm back for another Fabric Friday!  I was just too sick to do any posting last week.  Today's project is a little reusable snack treat bag.  I followed the tutorial from HERE.
I made a couple of different sizes, just for fun.
I also tried our Big Shot Fabric Adhesive Roll to attach fabric to fabric.  This worked like a charm!
Also, I decided to sew a top-stitch line just under the velcro, just because. :)
The small bag on top is from Twitterpated Designer Fabric.  The bottom one is from Summer Smooches Designer Fabric.  The stars are from left over Springtime Vintage Designer Fabric on my table, and were cut using the retiring Stars #2 Big Shot die.

Good Bye, Baroque Motifs

This beautiful stamp set is retiring in a week!
My good demo friend from Florida, Pam of Stampin' in the Sun, had made a beautiful card using an upcoming new stamp set.  Although I don't yet have that particular stamp set that Pam has, I was just itching to CASE her card.  So, I took her card as inspiration and came up with this, using Baroque Motifs, a retiring stamp set.

The bottom portion is stamped with the different smaller stamps in the set.  I use a piece of scrap paper as a guide, so I don't accidentally stamp too far up.  The ribbon was a Clearance Rack find last year or the year before.

The small flowers on top were done using the Itty Bitty punch pack.  I think I managed to use just about every stamp in that set, except for the word, Kind.

Remember you can still get this stamp set through 5/31/12.

My Supplies List (all supplies and images by Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted):
Stamp Set(s): Baroque Motifs
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, So Saffron, Wild Wasabi, Soft Suede
Papers: So Saffron
Accessories: Itty Bitty punch pack, Basic Rhinestones, So Saffron 5/8" grosgrain (retired)

Triple Birthday Treat

Today's card is another ode to a retiring stamp, Triple Treat.  I kept putting off getting this stamp, eventhough I just loved it the moment I saw it in the catalog, because I didn't have any of the punches that would go with it.  When this stamp was offered as one of the free products during Sale-a-Bration, I grabbed it, along with the punches.  Now I'm sad it's leaving us already.  I had some serious fun playing with this flower.

I made this card for my neighbor.  It's actually his son who commissioned some birthday cards from me.  I figured since the card will be given from a guy, I didn't want to make it too feminine.  I did find out the cards were going out to ladies, so my task wasn't too terribly difficult.  I CASE'd this card from Lesley.
Here's a closer look.  I popped up each layer of flower for dimension.
There is still time to order this stamp and the coordinating punches, except the 5-Petal punch (the middle one).  That particular punch is retiring, and has already sold out.  However, this stamp still works great with the Fancy Flower punch and the 1/2" circle punch.

My Supplies List (all supplies and images by Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted):
Stamp Set(s): Triple Treat, On Your Birthday
Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Pear Pizzazz
Papers: Rich Razzleberry, Pear Pizzazz, Pocket Full of Posies DSP
Accessories: Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, Fancy Flower punch, 5-Petal punch, 1/2" circle punch, Two-Step Bird punch
