Mixed Bunch - Last one... for now

Today is the last day to order out of the Occasions Mini Catalog. Please allow me to indulge in one last post on Mixed Bunch.  I just love using this set and I hope this set and punch will make it into the new Annual Catalog, so I can continue to use them!

Today's cards were shared at my presentation at my local YMCA over the weekend.  This card is inspired by Diana.  This was a very simple card.  Just a few pieces of cut cardstock, stamped flower and sentiment.  Punched out the stamped flower and punch again with color cardstock.  Adhere everything, pop up the flower with Dimensionals, and it's all done.
If you had a Big Shot, and used an embossing folder, the card now looks like you spent a huge amount of time putting it together.
And if you add a piece of ribbon, gives it a bit of elegance.
You can make cards with very few supplies, or more.  But no matter how you do it, they will all be lovely.

My Supplies List (all supplies and images by Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted):
Stamp Set(s): Mix Bunch, Thank You Kindly
Ink: Island Indigo, Calypso Coral
Papers: Island Indigo, Calypso Coral, Pool Party, Lucky Limeade, Twitterpated DSP
Accessories: Blossom punch, Square Lattice embossing folder, Tasteful Trim die, Everyday Enchantment brad (retired, SAB2012), Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder, Pool Party ruffled ribbon

Fabric Friday - Small Tote with Button

Yay for another round of Fabric Friday!  Guess what I have for you today?  Can you guess?  Yes, it's another tote!!!  Originally I made this for me.  But it turned out a little smaller than I expected, because I apparently can't do math.  Then as soon as my daughter saw it, she claimed it for herself.  So I guess I made it for her.  LOL.

This is made with the Flirtatious Designer Fabric again.  For the handles, I got lazy and pulled out my Striped Grosgrain ribbon.  I put two together and stitched up the sides.
Oh, and I used the Square Scallop die for Big Shot again.  Seriously, that thing is like a work horse around here.  Totally getting my money's worth.  Although hard to tell, I made a little box corner for the bottom of the tote.  The lines are perfect on this one, which makes me very proud of myself. :)

Here's a close up.  Because I had put batting in between the lining and the outer fabric, it felt a little bulky, especially at the top.  So I thought I would give the buttonhole function on my machine a try.  Holy Batman!  That is one cool function!  Oh, did you also see what I did with the ruffle?  I took two scrap strips of fabric, put them at right angles to each other and sewed at 45-degrees.  This way, the two pieces would be joined to become one long strip.  Perfect for me to do some ruffle/gathering.
I used the Fun Flowers die again for embellishment.  Again, as before, I had lined the fabric with some fusible interfacing to make it just a little stiffer.  The button is Melon Mambo from the Ice Cream Parlor suite, which you can find on the Clearance Rack.
Items from the Clearance Rack can only be ordered online at MY STORE.  Which you're there, check out the other really awesome stuff at a fraction of the original cost.

Thanks for visiting!  Have a wonderful weekend!!!

Mixed Bunch #4

Have you checked out the RETIRED ACCESSORIES & DEFINITELY DECORATIVE LISTS yet??  There are some fabulously discounted items such as our wonderful fabric and pattern papers.  Please check them out!  Don't freak out over the stamp pads on the list.  Colors are NOT retiring, except for the 2010-2012 In-Colors, which are highlighted with today's cards below.  Stampin' Up! is making the pads even better to provide better image coverage.  If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to contact me or Stampin' Up! directly.  Most importantly, these items are on first come, first served basis.  So once they're gone, they're gone.  Last day to order is May 31st, 2012.  You can order from MY STORE.  Just click on the button on the right -->.  And don't forget to check out the Clearance Rack, too! :)

Onto today's cards.  Wow, have you seen me show you so many different cards in one post before?  I don't know about you, but I totally, completely, love the 2010-2012 In-Colors (Concord Crush, Pear Pizzazz, Poppy Parade, Peach Parfait, Blushing Bride).  I love these together, individually, or in various combination with just some of the colors.  I am seriously going to need a moment when they finally retire on 6/1/12.

The first card is CASE'd from Jennifer of NWStamper.
I love being able to use up scraps.  This card turned out so easy and pretty.  I used each one of the 5 In-Colors.  I topped the flower image with some Dazzling Details.

This next card is CASE'd from Laura.  I changed the colors to the In-Colors.  I love the combination of Peach Parfait and Poppy Parade, against Concord Crush as a neutral.
This next one is CASE'd from Patty.  Again, I changed up the colors here to fit what I want.  I was going to cut the Pear Pizzazz cardstock off and use white, as Patty did.  But then I decided I like it this way, so it stayed.  I am also soooooo going to miss this ribbon!
Oh, I used the Sweet Buttons embosslit for the center of the flower, topped with Crystal Effects.

Last card for the day is CASE'd from Angela, with some minor modifications.  The "vase" is just a circle with the bottom cut off, then run through with the Striped embossing folder.

Twitterpated Mixed Bunch #2

Today's cards are inspired by Chiaki.  This was part of the Card Buffet this past weekend.  I made 2 slightly different versions because I ran out of the pattern paper.  See how the look slightly changes when you change the pattern paper?  I love how everything works using Stampin' Up!'s products!
I have no special tools in cutting the "flag" bottom.  I decided on how high up I wanted the middle point to be.  Measured the center, drew lines from the corner to that center point and cut with scissors.  How do you like the tone-on-tone look on the Riding Hood Red cardstock?  I think it's neat myself.  If you don't have the ink in the same color as the cardstock, you can use your clear Versamark pad.  I love my Versamark pad.  It's so versatile in all kinds of applications.  One of these days I should do a quick tour of simple techniques with Versamark.
My Supplies List (all supplies and images by Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted):
Stamp Set(s): Mix Bunch, Sincere Salutations, On Your Birthday
Ink: Riding Hood Red, Blushing Bride
Papers: Riding Hood Red, Blushing Bride, Baja Breeze, Twitterpated DSP
Accessories: Blossom punch, 1" circle punch, Adorning Accents edgelit, Twitterpated Designer Buttons, Basic Pearls

Twitterpated Mixed Bunch

This is the last week of Occasions Mini Catalog sales period.  I will definitely miss a lot of the items from this mini.  I sure hope some of them will come back and be part of the new Annual Catalog!  Speaking of which, I'm so excited that I will get to see, at least the electronic form, of the catalog on May 7th!!!  Part of the perk of being a demonstrator!  If you would like to have a copy of the Annual Catalog, just shoot me an email to let me know.  All you have to do is pay for the shipping of $5.

Onto today's card.  I LOVE this stamp set and punch from the Occasions Mini.  It makes it so easy to pull off an elegant looking card in no time at all!  ETA: Card inspired by Jill Hilliard.
The sentiment is from the to-be-retired Thank You Kindly.  I used the masking technique to have the words on 2 lines (because it wouldn't fit on one line).  After you have inked up your stamp, take a piece of scotch tape and cover the word you don't want to stamp.  Repeat with the other word.  MAKE SURE you remove the tape between inking!!!  Just sayin'. :)

My Supplies List (all supplies and images by Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted):
Stamp Set(s): Mix Bunch, Thank You Kindly
Ink: Blushing Bride, Baja Breeze
Papers: Blushing Bride, Baja Breeze, Twitterpated DSP
Accessories: Blossom punch, 1" circle punch, Blushing Bride Pleated Satin ribbon
